Where the ladies at? Where the ladies at?

Destiny J during Harlemweek on Hot 97 Stage

There have always been ladies that wouldn’t sell their souls to make a few bucks in Hip Hop. The 80’s blessed us with Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Sister Souljah. In the 90’s there was Lauren, YoYo, Missy, Bahamadia, Da Brat, Rage, Rah Digga and Eve.  The 2000’s fell flat and there were few, if any females in rap that didn’t curse, call themselves b's and h's and use sex to sell records. After a long break for positive women in Hip Hop, Missy Elliott has come back with a vengeance. Newcomers Dynasty from Tampa and Destiny J from Central Florida http://www.newworldstation.com/artist/destinyj are poised to revive the game for ladies in Hip Hop. Are there any other ladies in Hip Hop that I forgot to mention?
