The Revolution Will Be Live – A tribute to Gil Scott-Heron series pays tribute to Gil's poetry and music, his activism and role in the civil rights movement.

Malik and his partner Rich McGinnis booked a stellar line-up for an event held at St. George’s Hall (commissioned by Liverpool International Music Festival) — featuring live performances by Talib Kweli, Aswad, The Christians, Craig Charles and Malik & The O.G's featuring Cleveland Watkins and Sophia Ben-Yousef.

We look forward to this series coming to the United States, particularly to Harlem where Gil lived and is deeply loved.

Check out the interview of MALIK AL NASIR below. He describes the series, his relationship with Gil and shares his poetry in tribute to his mentor Gil Scott Heron.
