Harlem Havana kicks off Sat. August 4th at St John the Divine with Oyu Oro Afro Cuban dance ensemble, Chino Pons & Grupo Irek

Cuban artists, musicians, dancers, fashion designers and chefs descend upon New York for the week long Harlem/Havana Music and Cultural Festival.

The event, is New York’s only cultural and educational initiative with the island nation since the United States and Cuba renewed ties in 2014.

And there’s mucho going on. There are jazz performances, dance workshops, authentic Cuban cuisine and the charm of a culture that is colorful and rich in tradition.
