Job 6:6 KJVS Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?
God wants our lives to have flavor! He is not asking us to have a boring and dull life in Him. He is looking for us to have an inviting flavor of life that others desire to sample. We are His ambassadors. We are His representatives and we should represent Him well. That salt the Bible speaks of is a spiritual salt. God's seasoning and flavor that He directly sprinkles on our lives through the journeys He allows us to experience and the leading of us by the Holy Spirit.
Mark 9:50 KJVS Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
In Matthew 5, Jesus expounds on this further by stating:
Matthew 5:13-16 KJVS Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
We are to be the "life flavor of the month" on display. The representation that illuminates who Christ is that He may drawn people to Himself. How well are our ambassadorships going? Can God use us as His calling cards? Are we allowing Him to do a work in us where we can become the most effective representatives we can be? Let's pray and do the things in our lives that allow people to look upon us and that look strengthens His reputation. As believers, we are God's brand ambassadors.
Simply put, are we making God look good?
