Blu James is a voice like no other: clear, spirited, infectious, it’s joy on a platter. Her immense vocal and songwriting talent is shown off to dazzling effect here, with a collection of red hot collabs and production from a who’s who of game-changers and masters of the form when it comes to forward thinking UK dance music, including Dego (2000Black), Daz-I-Kue (Bugz In The Attic) and Blakai (Mark Force, Kaidi Tatham & Matt Lord). The album also features killer contributions from Simbad (Raw Fusion/Defected) and QB Smith (Warm Days).

This eclectic LP came together over a long hot summer and it shows. Fling open the windows and get out of your chair. Blu’s having fun and she wants us to join in. Expect sick drums and grimy baselines and real musicality - from weighty bangers such as “I Get High” & “Spaceships”, via the deep sounds of Dego productions – “Stare Into The Truth”, “Make It Go Away (Pain)”, all the way through to the genius Hip-Hop/R&B infused flavors of “Walk On” & “Say Now”.

With a central thread of infectious grooves that tie the whole thing together, Blu’s long- awaited debut LP release packs a trans Atlantic punch that calls up the deepest sweatiest corners of your favourite London club and her North West London roots, and shakes them up with the sunshine and attitude of the Florida that she now calls home.
